In japan especially in the city there are so many traffic lights and stop signs that the kickdown can actually be completely removed. That makes it really easy to cap. Th350 has in fact a detent cable not a throttle valve cable. It had no sign of front or rear seal leakage so i replaced the filter and pan gasket and then test drove it for several days. I currently have a leak coming from the cable dripping on front. It seems to leak a bunch of transmission fluid after setting for a period of time.

On both of my th350 s i have a rubber sleeve type seal on the cable.
